Tonight was a very bittersweet for me, my favorite favorite show was coming to an end. In my mind I was sad to see it go, but excited to see how it would end.
Scrubs has been a large part of my life, If there was a such thing as a comfort show, then Linus is to Blanket as Eric is to Scrubs. (a little Old School SAT there)
This honestly feels like im losing a close friend of mine, I guess it sounds silly missing a television show that much.
But this television show has been a huge part of my high school life and college.
In high school my brother introduced this show to me, and I immediately got hooked. it was almost as if the pilot show brainwashed me.
I introduced this show to some of my close friends and they all got into it as well, instant connection. My friends loved it, ,my brother loved it and I loved it.
This show was a huge part of my week, Thursday night on NBC new scrubs. No laptop, no cell phone, NO distractions. I was lost in my televsion set for that half an hour.
It got so bad that I started memorizing shows based, and could give specific season and number based off a single joke. Crazy huh? I know.
So what is so good about scrubs?
If you are already addicted to this show, you already know.
What could it be, the goofball characters, the slapstick comedy or the balance between comedy and drama in the show? Is it the idea that almost all epsiodes a life lesson is explored and projected to the audience, making us all think about our own lives after watching the show.
I have heard that the last few seasons weren’t as good as the first few, and i’m not going to argue with that.
But I can’t turn my back on something like Scrubs, I get so invested in the characters I need to know what happens.
Well I’ve been blabbering for a while now, and I really wanted to say
Thank you JD. Turk, Carla, Elliot, Dr Cox, Janitor, Jordan, Dr. Kelso and the rest of cast. =)
